Nathalie Boucher, Ph.D.

Dr. Nathalie Boucher is an accomplished researcher specializing in plant physiology, biotechnology, and environmental sciences. Since 2015, she has served as Research Director at Devonian Health Group, where she oversees intellectual property development and leads work on thylakoid membrane extraction, standardization, and quality control using fluorescence-based methods.

An associate professor at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and member of the Research Group in Plant Physiology (GRBV), Dr. Boucher conducts collaborative studies on the biological activity of botanical extracts, supported by NSERC and Mitacs. She also supervises students and contributes to scientific publications.

Earlier in her career, she managed R&D projects at Lab_Bell (2001–2010), developing biosensors, fluorescence techniques, and stabilization methods for thylakoid biochemical activity.

Dr. Boucher holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal, a postdoctoral degree in Biotechnology from the University of Perpignan (France), a Master’s in Biophysics, and a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Her research has been recognized through numerous grants and awards, including from NSERC, FCAR, and the Châteaubriand Fellowship.
